the many colors of pain



These are lidoderm patches. They are just one weapon in my armament of living with pain. Clearly, I cannot put these on myself. So I rely on my wife who does it best as she's had a LOT of practice. Other times, I rely on the kindness of nurses.

Ah, yes. I've tried those. Minimal relief, very costly (no insurance--lost it with career years ago). However, we do what even brings any minimal relief. I take a hoard of supplements. Mostly I pray and now practice praising God for everything whether or not I perceive it as "good" or "bad." Harder to praise what I perceive as "bad", but I do it anyway, praise regardless. I eat the non-inflammatory foods, do anything that will help any little bit. Those lidoderm patches are nearly impossible to place on one's own back. I have to rely on my angel to help me....
